Unit 1 Foundations (IBT)

Welcome to the beginning of the entrepreneurship pathway. In this unit we will learn about  our classroom, employ-ability skills, business roles, functions, and understanding a companies vision. We will look at how to resolve customer complaints, understanding the customer, and how to resolve the problem. 

Essential Questions:

  • What does it mean to be a good listener?
  • What qualities define a good listener?
  • Why is it an important quality to listen and follow directions at the workplace?
  • Why can a group hear the same instructions, but interpret them completely different?
  • What is customer service and why is it important?
  • What is a customer complaint and why is it important to remedy complaints?
  • What are the rules for using a cell phone at work?
  • What does every employee need to know about using email at work?
  • How do you solve problems at work?
  • What are the advantages of a functional structure within a business?
  • Why is it important to understand mission and vision statements at  company?
  • How does time and being productive relate to each other?
